Basketball Recap: Pacific Lutheran Comes Up Short

Pacific Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 103-12 defeat at the hands of the Ambassador Lions. The Stingrays lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 60-31 score last time.

Ambassador's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cory Lee led the charge by putting up 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Desta, who posted 20 points.

Pacific Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ambassador, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacific Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Compton Early College at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Ambassador, they are taking a road trip to square off against Shalhevet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
