Softball Recap: Twelve Bridges Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Twelve Bridges's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Nevada Union Miners with a sharp 8-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rhinos as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Lucy Simpson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits.

On the hitting side, Twelve Bridges let Lexi Bright and Lily Tetz run wild. Bright went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base, while Tetz went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most runs Bright has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Callie Morris, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Twelve Bridges was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nevada Union only posted a batting average of .222.

Twelve Bridges' record now sits at 4-21. As for Nevada Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

As of now, neither Twelve Bridges nor the Miners have any future games scheduled.
