Recap: Wisdom Generals vs. Sterling Raiders
The Wisdom Generals lost against the Sterling Raiders back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Wisdom took a serious blow against Sterling, falling 34-6. It was the first time this season that Wisdom let down their fans at home.
Felix Tuyisaba threw for 96 yards and a touchdown. Ajani Mayeux was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Hani Ali rushed for 36 yards.
Leading Sterling to victory were Elijah Jackson and Jacques Brown. Jackson rushed for 94 yards on only seven carries, while Brown rushed for 109 yards on only nine carries.
Wisdom's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Sterling, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Wisdom will head out on the road to face off against Ball at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ball knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Wisdom likes a good challenge. As for Sterling, they will be playing at home against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
