Cowan came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mississinawa Valley, falling 12-2. Cowan's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Savannah Hall made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Candice Matson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Cowan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Mississinawa Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Looking ahead, Cowan will face off against Northeastern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
