Basketball Recap: Christian Ministries Academy Takes a Loss

Christian Ministries Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 44-18 to the Abundant Life Owls. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Conquerors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-16 back in December of 2024.

Abundant Life's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rosie Townsend led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Townsend is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jada Richardson, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Christian Ministries Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Abundant Life, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Christian Ministries Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Legacy Academy at 6:30 p.m. Abundant Life has already played their next match, a 56-52 win against Gospel Light Christian on the 17th.
