Baseball Recap: Grove Comes Up Short

Grove suffered their closest loss since April 1st on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hilldale Hornets by a score of 5-3. The Ridgerunners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Hilldale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Grove didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-4 victory against Checotah on the 1st. Hilldale has also already played their next match (against Cleveland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
