Volleyball Recap: Bellaire Comes Up Short

Bellaire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martins Ferry Purple Riders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purple Riders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 21-25, 25-9.

Bellaire's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Martins Ferry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellaire will challenge Union Local at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Martins Ferry, they will face off against Barnesville at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
