Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After losing to Rockland the last time they met, Aberdeen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Aberdeen Tigers managed a 47-41 victory over the Rockland Bulldogs on Friday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly six points.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexa Permann, who posted 20 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Permann has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Calyn Permann, who scored eight points and 12 boards.

Aberdeen's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Rockland, they moved to 14-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Aberdeen won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Side at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Aberdeen has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Rockland, they will face off against Taylor's Crossing at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockland's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Taylor's Crossing's offense will have their work cut out for them.
