Softball Recap: Oakland Oakers vs. Lowell Devils

It was a good run, but Oakland unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 13-3 to the Lowell Devils. Oakland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lowell apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April.

Cerena Thacker was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

On Lowell's side, they got a massive performance out of Brooke Davis, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, a triple, and a run. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Able, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Oakland's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-5. As for Lowell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Oakland nor Lowell have any future games scheduled.
