Basketball Recap: Pine Crest Comes Up Short at Home Against American Heritage

Pine Crest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 44-39 to the American Heritage Stallions on Wednesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

American Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Briyanna Dodin, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. Joslyn Klein was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

The victory got American Heritage back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Pine Crest will welcome Benjamin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for American Heritage, they have already played their next game, a 51-32 loss against Jupiter on the 20th.
