Volleyball Recap: West Valley Triumphs

West Valley's tournament run continued when they took on South Tahoe on Saturday. The Mustangs won by a set and slipped past the Vikings 2-1.

Kamryn Hubbell had a dynamite game, getting 14 kills, nine digs, and three aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 kills per game. Deonys Ioane was another key player, getting 14 assists and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: West Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are 2-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

West Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for South Tahoe, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

West Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Beaumont on the 26th. After both having extra time off, South Tahoe and Elko will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
