After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Presbyterian Christian, West Marion was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tylertown Chiefs as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

West Marion's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 13-7. As for Tylertown, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, West Marion will take on Columbia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tylertown, they will face off against Presbyterian Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
