Poteet has gone a perfect 7-0 against Adams recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m.

Poteet is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Wilson just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2.

Poteet took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Adams waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Spartans 3-0.

One reason for the win was Adams' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-13.

Adams' win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Poteet, their loss dropped their record down to 30-12.

Poteet took their victory against Adams in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
