Westminster Academy has gone a perfect 8-0 against Hialeah Educational Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lions will square off against the Biggie at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Wednesday, Westminster Academy came up short against NSU University and fell 5-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westminster Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hialeah Educational Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Braddock on Thursday and fell 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Biggie in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

DEREK MORALES was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Westminster Academy's record now sits at 12-11. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, their record is now 10-12.

Westminster Academy took their victory against Hialeah Educational Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
