Baseball Recap: Head-Royce Comes Up Short

Head-Royce fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Albany on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Albany Cougars by a score of 8-7. The Jayhawks' loss signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Kaden Choi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Kento Tsuji also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Head-Royce fell to 3-1. As for Albany, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Head-Royce will challenge University at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Albany, they will face off against San Leandro at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
