Pottsville extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Megan Yost. The Crimson Tide came out on top against the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Yost, who had 12 digs, three blocks, and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 19 times she's played.

Pottsville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 25-7, 25-3.

Pottsville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Schwartz out in front who had 20 digs and nine kills. Those 20 digs gave Schwartz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anna Burke, who had 15 kills, ten blocks, and two aces.

Pottsville's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mahanoy Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Pottsville and Mahanoy Area should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Crimson Tide will take on Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (86 vs. 202). Meanwhile, Mahanoy Area (ranked 178th) will meet Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (ranked 384th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
