Softball Recap: Canyon Hills Victorious

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Canyon Hills walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Morse Tigers a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Rattlers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Not much got past Natalye Debus, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Morse off the board. Debus has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Canyon Hills secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Jaylyn Avery, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Canyon Hills' win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Morse, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.

Looking ahead, Canyon Hills will welcome Southwest EC at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. Morse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
