Preview: Juanita Ravens vs. Liberty Patriots
The Juanita Ravens on the road again on Friday and play against the Liberty Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Juanita has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Juanita pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Redmond by a score of 61-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (58), Juanita still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Liberty's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercer Island. Liberty has struggled against Mercer Island recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Liberty got a solid performance out of Kyra Koxlien, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Koxlien has scored all season. Kyndall Tokish was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Juanita now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 11-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Juanita came up short against Liberty in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 58-46. Can Juanita avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
