Football Game Preview: Okeene Whippets vs. Shattuck Indians

The Okeene Whippets are taking a road trip to square off against the Shattuck Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Okeene is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Boise City, who was ranked 12th at the time (Okeene was ranked second). The Whippets took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 46-8 win over the Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Whippets.

Meanwhile, Shattuck blew past Canton, posting a 54-6 victory. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Okeene's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Shattuck, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Okeene against Shattuck when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Whippets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
