Baseball Recap: Muskogee Comes Up Short

Muskogee's last matchup with Stillwater could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Roughers lost 17-4 to the Pioneers. The Roughers were not able to make up for their loss to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Muskogee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Gilliam, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Muskogee has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Stillwater, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-7.

While Muskogee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
