It was a good run, but Wall unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Abilene Eagles by a score of 4-2. The Hawks were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the 12 matches prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Wall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Wyatt, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Wall's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Abilene, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8-1.

Coming up, Wall will head out on the road to face off against Jim Ned at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Abilene, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
