Basketball Game Preview: Riverdale Cowboys vs. Sierra Chieftains

Riverdale hasn't had much luck against Sierra recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Riverdale Cowboys will venture away from home to face off against the Sierra Chieftains at 6:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Riverdale took a blow against Fowler, falling 78-43.

Meanwhile, Sierra blew past Parlier, posting a 78-39 victory. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Chieftains this season.

Sierra is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Riverdale, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Riverdale took a serious blow against Sierra in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 92-38. Thankfully for Riverdale, Logan Kilbert (who posted 37 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
