Softball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin fell victim to Warren Hills Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Blue Streaks. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Blue Streaks: they've now lost six in a row.

Josslyn Sejeck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Franklin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vicky Gabryszewski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Warren Hills Regional, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

While Franklin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
