Basketball Recap: Jenks Comes Up Short

Jenks lost against Mustang back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jenks Trojans took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustang Broncos. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jenks now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Mustang, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jenks will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sapulpa at 8:00 p.m. on January 7th. Sapulpa has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three games. Mustang will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Southmoore at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Southmoore knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Mustang likes a good challenge.
