Football Game Preview: Hillhouse Academics vs. Cheshire Rams + How To Watch

The Hillhouse Academics will head out to face off against the Cheshire Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hillhouse has given up an average of 31.2 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Hillhouse took a blow against Amity Regional, falling 48-6. The matchup marked the Academics' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hillhouse's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Taj Banks, who picked up 53 receiving yards, and Cyle Joyner, who picked up 46 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Cheshire faced West Haven in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams' defense stepped up to hand the Blue Devils a 35-0 shutout. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cheshire and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 27 points in those games. As for Hillhouse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Hillhouse was taken down by Cheshire 30-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can the Academics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
