Softball Game Preview: Central Wise Warriors vs. Union Bears

The Central Wise Warriors will face off against the Union Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Central Wise came up short against Eastside and fell 4-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophia Fleming was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Union got the win against Virginia High last Tuesday by a conclusive 13-7.

Central Wise's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Union, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Central Wise couldn't quite finish off Union in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
