Basketball Recap: Josiah Hill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead High Point Central over Western Guilford

High Point Central was the 72-39 winner over Western Guilford when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bison received a blow on Saturday as they fell 64-46 to the Hornets. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

High Point Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Josiah Hill, who posted 13 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Noble, who earned eight points and five boards.

High Point Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Western Guilford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

High Point Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-61 victory against Ragsdale on the 29th. As for Western Guilford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 loss against Wesleyan Christian Academy on the 29th.
