Fairfield came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Jimtown Jimmies. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jimmies, too.

Logan Miller looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eli Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fairfield hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jimtown struck out seven times.

Fairfield's record now sits at 12-6. As for Jimtown, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

Coming up, Fairfield will face off against Mishawaka at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jimtown, they will take on South Bend Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
