Greenville had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Hillsboro Hiltoppers. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hiltoppers, too.

Greenville's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Hillsboro, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Greenville will welcome Carlyle at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hillsboro, they will take on Gillespie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
