            Football Recap: Gurdon Go-Devils vs. Junction City Dragons        
        
		
        
        
            If Gurdon was riding high  fresh off their  47-7 takedown of Lafayette County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Go-Devils took a  blow against the Junction City Dragons on Friday, falling  43-0. The Go-Devils have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Jonah Jester threw for 64 yards  on six of 13 attempts.   Cody Rider was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Uriah Gatlin rushed for 35 yards.
  Dakorey Larry was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 212 yards and three  scores on only 15 carries for Junction City. With that strong performance,  Larry is now averaging an impressive 100.3  rushing yards per game.  Jaxxon Caldwell was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one  touchdown on only nine carries.
Gurdon's  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Junction City, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  win, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gurdon will welcome Mineral Springs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Junction City, they will be playing at home against Dierks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Dragons will be up against the Outlaws' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.67  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
