Baseball Recap: William Campbell Takes a Loss

William Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Dan River Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in April.

William Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Dan River, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

William Campbell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dan River, they will take on Appomattox County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
