Basketball Recap: Tri-County Takes a Loss

Tri-County played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Panthers, falling 79-54. The Mustangs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Hunter Miller, who almost dropped a double-double with 40 points and nine rebounds for Grundy County/Newtown-Harris. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least a third of Grundy County/Newtown-Harris' points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Boren, who posted nine points.

Tri-County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Grundy County/Newtown-Harris, their record now sits at 14-11.

As of now, neither Tri-County nor Grundy County/Newtown-Harris have any future games scheduled.
