Centerville skates past Corrigan-Camden with ease

Recap: Centerville Tigers vs. Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs

The Centerville Tigers waltzed into Friday's match with four straight wins but they left with five. They really took it to Corrigan-Camden for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-12 win on the road. With Centerville ahead 41-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.

It was another big night for Andrew Newman, who rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Newman's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. Lamarcus Justice was another key contributor, gaining 159 total yards and two touchdowns.

Centerville's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Corrigan-Camden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Centerville will look to defend their home field on Thursday against West Sabine at 7:00 p.m. West Sabine is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Corrigan-Camden, they will head out on the road to face off against Timpson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timpson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Corrigan-Camden likes a good challenge.
