Basketball Recap: Pine Ridge Comes Up Short

Pine Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Lakota Tech Tatanka, falling 100-41. While losing is never fun, the Thorpes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Tatanka are ranked 23rd).

Pine Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lakota Tech, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Ridge will take on Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakota Tech, they will challenge Little Wound at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
