Softball Recap: Muhlenberg Takes a Loss

Muhlenberg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 19-7 to the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado.

Ava Missimer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Jaela Eaton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Muhlenberg's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for J.P. McCaskey, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muhlenberg will challenge Schuylkill Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for J.P. McCaskey, they will take on Hempfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Red Tornado's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Black Knights have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
