With a playoff win on the line, Columbus Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 35-23 victory over the Zane Trace Pioneers. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Despite the loss, Zane Trace still got an impressive performance from Brice Johnson, who rushed for 148 yards and one TD while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 31 receiving yards.

Columbus Academy's record is now 9-2. As for Zane Trace, they moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Columbus Academy will take on Nelsonville-York at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buckeyes' defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them. Zane Trace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
