Sandpoint hadn't done well against Lakeland recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs blew past the Hawks 3-0. The Bulldogs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

The victory didn't come easy: Lakeland scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sandpoint to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gretta Beck, who had 16 digs and one assist. Beck has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Averi Mire, who had 16 assists and six digs.

Sandpoint's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Lakeland, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Sandpoint has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Lewiston on the 25th. As for Lakeland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Post Falls on the 23rd.
