Baseball Recap: Morgan Township Comes Up Short

Morgan Township and Kouts squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Morgan Township had to settle for second. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs & Fillies. The Cherokees haven't had much luck with the Mustangs & Fillies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Morgan Township saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clint Lemmons, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Lemmons is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played.

Morgan Township's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Kouts, the victory (which was their 26th in a row) raised their record to 26-1.

As of now, neither Morgan Township nor the Mustangs & Fillies have any future games scheduled.
