Recap: Eagle Academy vs. American History Bald Eagles
Eagle Academy's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past American History with a 52-47 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eagle Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, American History still got an impressive performance from Elijah Whitney, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitney has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ahmad Woodard, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Eagle Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for American History, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for American History, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kearny at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th.
