Reseda entered their tilt with Northridge Academy on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Pumas. The Regents have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pumas, too.

MARCO GARRIDO made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. GARRIDO was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Reseda let ESTEVAN LIMON and DON BARAJAS run wild. LIMON went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while BARAJAS scored two runs while going 3-for-5. BARAJAS is becoming a predictor of Reseda's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was GIO MENDOZA, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Reseda kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Reseda's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Northridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
