Recap: Columbia Central Lions vs. University School of Jackson Bruins
On Thursday, Columbia Central ended up a good deal behind University School of Jackson and lost 61-47.
University School of Jackson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Smith, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mills Terry, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Columbia Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for University School of Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Columbia Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. University School of Jackson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Hickman County at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. East Hickman County will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
