Softball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

On Saturday Worthington Kilbourne's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Hamilton Township Rangers. While the Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Becca Boue was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Josie Janosy was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashwika Namala, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Worthington Kilbourne pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.the team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team won's by an average of 9.2 runs thus far As for Hamilton Township, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Worthington Kilbourne will challenge Lakewood at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Lakewood will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Worthington Kilbourne surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hamilton Township, they will host Bloom-Carroll at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Hamilton Township their first taste of in-conference action this season.
