Volleyball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lake Braddock + How To Watch

Fairfax had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Lake Braddock Bruins by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Fairfax wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Braddock into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, 21-25, 21-25, 17-15.

Lake Braddock was led to victory by Micki Millsaps and Yana Jensen. Millsaps had six digs and three aces, while Jensen had 18 digs and six assists. Jensen has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Fairfax wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Annandale on the 27th. As for Lake Braddock, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
