Volleyball Recap: Elwood Find Success

Elwood's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Tri-Central Trojans 3-0. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Elwood took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-13.

Averi Savage had a dynamite game, getting 16 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Savage wasn't the only good server: Elwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Central only served two aces.

Elwood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tri-Central, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Elwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Shenandoah on the 23rd. As for Tri-Central, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Frankton on the 26th.
