Basketball Game Preview: East Central Trojans vs. Columbus North Bull Dogs

The East Central Trojans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Columbus North Bull Dogs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. East Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

East Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Franklin Community by a score of 51-38.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Columbus North's strategy against Columbus East on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Columbus North blew Columbus East out of the water with a 70-38 final score. The Bull Dogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Columbus North's win came from a few key players East Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hadassah Hurt, who posted 13 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four). Kaylie Harmon was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Columbus North has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for East Central, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
