Recap: Monett Cubs vs. Carl Junction Bulldogs
The Monett Cubs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 81-57 loss at the hands of Carl Junction. Monett was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-27.
Carl Junction found their leader in underclassman Brody Pant, who scored 27 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pant has scored all season. Deacon Endicott was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Monett has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Carl Junction, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monett will square off against East Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Newton is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Carl Junction, they will head out on the road to face off against Nevada at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
