Volleyball Recap: Cochranton Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Cochranton had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Slippery Rock Rockets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Cochranton got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 19-25, 16-14.

Having lost for the first time this season, Slippery Rock fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Cochranton will head out to face off against Corry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Slippery Rock, they will face off against Fairview at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
