Softball Recap: Potts Camp Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Potts Camp can now relate to. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Myrtle Hawks on Thursday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Alyssa Clifton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Potts Camp saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harlynn Stephens, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Potts Camp's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Myrtle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Potts Camp does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Myrtle has already played their next contest (against the Cardinals), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
