Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley lost against Glenwood City back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals came up short against the Hilltoppers, falling 9-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Glenwood City, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Spring Valley and Glenwood City will both be playing Boyceville the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hilltoppers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
