Baseball Recap: Whale Branch Takes a Loss

Whale Branch extended their losing streak to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-11. They lost 14-0 to the Barnwell Warhorses. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhorses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

As for Barnwell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10. Considering they have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Barnwell's part, Caiden Roland made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roland was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Case Davis was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cooper Boleman was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Whale Branch will host Hardeeville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barnwell, they will head out to face off against South Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
